VTEC can offer specialized
programs and seminars in all topics in Veterinary Medicine.
VTEC has worked with large medical corporations to referral
hospitals to develop specialized programs to call attention to
new program offerings, new product lines, or offer technician
and veterinary education opportunities. These programs bring
veterinarians in the forefront of practice and their specialty
to teach, educate and inform members of the veterinary team on
a local to a national level. Some recent corporate programs

2004:
Virbac - Chapter II & III
CET University
Working closely with Virbac, VTEC produced on-line interactive
continuing education for technicians on the topics of oral and
dental anatomy, dental charting, periodontal disease, dental
prophylaxis and goals of short and long term dental health.
The program was constructed on an interactive case format to
allow technicians to practice their knowledge on a routine

2004 – Pfizer & Southern Arizona Animal Pain Center
(Tucson, Az) VTEC brought in Dr. William Tranquilli, DVM ACVA to talk
on new concepts in pain management to the Veterinary Medical
Teams in Tucson, Az. The focus of the program was making
veterinarians and their paraprofessionals aware of new
concepts in pain management and dealing with chronic
pathologic pain in patients. The program highlighted a new
Animal Pain Center being opened in a regional referral
hospital.
2004 – Idexx & VTEC sponsored a Lecture / Wet Lab Program
on Clinical Pathology (Phoenix)
VTEC brought in Dr. Sharon Dial to talk on Complete Blood
Count Differentials and Urinalysis Sediments in this one day
lecture and wet lab program. The focus of the program was to
make veterinary technicians more proficient and resourceful in
advanced laboratory skills.
2004 – MWI & North Valley Emergency Animal Clinic (Phoenix)
VTEC worked with MWI & North Valley Emergency Animal Clinic to
produce a free one night seminar on Veterinary Triage and
Emergency in the Veterinary Medical Team. Dr. Rosenfeld spoke
to the open meeting of doctors and medical team members on the
importance of obtaining medical history and a triage exam. The
program highlighted the opening of the North Valley Emergency
Animal Clinic in Phoenix Arizona.
2005 – Pfizer / Virbac / Dermatology Clinic for Animals
(Las Vegas / Phoenix)
VTEC has organized two dinner meetings on Dermatology for the
Medical Team. Working with the Dermatology clinic for Animals,
the program focuses on identification, clinical diagnostics,
treatment options, and client education of handling basic
dermatologic conditions in the canine. The program highlights
the services of the Dermatology Clinic for Animals.
